Berkshire offers a free NHS Stop Smoking Service, serving Newbury, Thatcham, Wokingham, Reading, Theale, Mortimer, Pangbourne, Hungerford, Lambourn, Slough, Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead and Bracknell
It’s called Smoke Free Life Berkshire and you can find out more at their website or read their Mission Statement:
“We know that people have busy lives and that booking an appointment for things such as stopping smoking isn’t easy. That’s why we don’t offer appointments. You can drop in and see one of our approachable, fully trained advisors whenever you want, at ALL of our clinics across Berkshire.
We offer free, weekly 1:1 or group sessions over 12 weeks, as well as a weekly supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
Our clinics are within local community settings, in pharmacies, GP surgeries, in local markets, fitness centres, supermarkets, libraries, community centres, dental practices and many other venues.
If you have mobility problems, are of ill health or are house bound, we may be able to offer you a home visit or you can get free face-to-face online video chat support from the comfort of your home or workplace.
Remember, quitting is all about finding what works for you!”
For more information or simply an informal chat about stopping smoking, please call our team of advisors on 0800 622 6360 or send a SMS QUIT to 66777 or email the service.
